Location & Accessibility

Where are you located?

Chateau de la Beauté is located inside the iconic Fairmont San Francisco at 950 Mason Street atop Nob Hill. Guests may enter through the Fairmont’s main valet entrance, which leads directly into the lobby. Facing the check-in desk, the Loggia hallway is on the right. Our spa is nestled down this corridor, beside Bin 415 Wine Tasting Room and the florist Ornamento.

Is there parking available?

Valet parking is available at the Fairmont Hotel. For details, please visit: Fairmont Valet Services. Limited street parking can be found nearby—especially north of California Street. Additionally, both the Masonic and Grace Cathedral offer convenient public parking garages just a short walk from the spa.

How can I get to Nob Hill?

When arriving using BART, we recommend exiting at Powell & Market street and either walking north on Powell until you arrive at California street, or using the Cable Car and exiting at California Street.

For residents living in Pacific Heights, Richmond, Outer Richmond, Presidio Heights, Chinatown, and the Financial District, the 1 bus stops 1-2 blocks away from the Fairmont San Francisco.

If you are planning to drive from Marin, San Mateo, or Santa Clarita Counties, we recommend taking Highway 1 and exiting at California Street. No turns need to be made until you are at the Fairmont San Francisco. If you are arriving from Berkeley, Oakland, or Alameda, exit after the Bay Bridge on Exit 2C. Take a left on Fremont Street and subsequently on California Street.

What are the business hours?

Chateau de la Beauté is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Hours may vary on holidays, and we are occasionally able to accommodate special appointment requests outside of our standard schedule.

Treatments & Skincare

How often should I receive facials?

We recommend scheduling facials every 4-8 weeks unless otherwise advised by your esthetician Aislinn as well as using an at-home skincare routine to support and extend the results of your facial.


Which skincare products should I use?

Your esthetician Aislinn will make recommendations for you based on your current skincare routine and your goals.


Are your treatments safe for sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Our lead esthetician, Aislinn, is highly experienced in caring for sensitive and barrier-compromised skin. We thoughtfully customize each treatment to ensure comfort and safety. In addition, our spa offers specialized product lines, including the ContinueLine collection from MBR Cosmetics and the Biosensible range from Biologique Recherche both designed to soothe, strengthen, and protect sensitive skin.


Are facials safe during pregnancy?

Yes. For our expecting mothers, we recommend The Mother’s Glow, a restorative facial thoughtfully designed to be both safe and effective during pregnancy. This treatment includes gentle massage of the face, neck, and décolleté, along with the LYMA to promote a lifted, radiant, and refreshed complexion.


Do I need to prep my skin before a facial?

For the best results, we recommend discontinuing retinol products 2–3 days prior to your treatment. Please also avoid sugar or wax epilation services for 3–5 days before your appointment. If you have recently received medical spa services within the last three weeks, we suggest scheduling a complimentary skin consultation prior to booking to ensure your skin is ready for treatment. Guests arriving within six weeks of medical spa services may have their treatment thoughtfully modified to preserve the health and integrity of the skin.

Is there any preparation needed before a Biologique Recherche Remodeling Face Machine facial?

To enjoy the full benefits of your Remodeling Face facial, we recommend a few simple steps: avoid exfoliating products for 24 hours, shave your face 4–6 hours before your appointment, skip alcohol-based aftershaves or astringents, and stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your treatment.

The Remodeling Face Machine is a bio-electrotherapeutic service, certain conditions aren’t suitable for safety reasons. Additionally, if you’ve had injectables, peels, microneedling, or other medical treatments within the last six weeks, a quick consultation will help us recommend the most effective facial for you. In the event that there is a contraindication we will thoughtfully modify the appointment, our goal is always to ensure your skin is treated safely and beautifully.

When should I arrive for my service?

It is best to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of your service. This ensures there is enough time to fill out your consent form(s).


What can I expect during my first facial?

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and guided to our serene Spa Lounge to begin your journey. When your esthetician, Aislinn, is ready, she will escort you to private treatment room. Your facial begins with a gentle cleansing and personalized skin analysis, including a discussion of your routine, goals, and any concerns. Treatments are tailored to your skin’s needs, including exfoliation, a nourishing masque, and a soothing massage of the face, neck, and décolleté, finishing with carefully selected serums and creams to leave your skin radiant and refreshed.


Do you offer Biologique Recherche or MBR skincare consultations?

Can I book a consultation before choosing a treatment?

Absolutely! For advanced facials, we recommend a personalized consultation with our esthetician, Aislinn. This can be scheduled either immediately before your treatment or via Zoom, whichever is most convenient. During the consultation, Aislinn will assess your skin and provide tailored recommendations for future treatments. Do you offer full body massage?

While we do not offer traditional full-body massages, we invite you to experience our Body Hydration or Cannes Red Carpet treatments for a luxurious, full-body ritual. These services focus on gentle exfoliation, deep hydration, and skin rejuvenation, leaving your skin radiant, supple, and beautifully nourished from head to toe.

Dp you offer GelX or Acrylic nail services?

We offer three types of polish to suit your style and preferences: Classic, Dazzle Dry, and Shellac. For health and safety reasons, we do not offer dip powder, acrylic, or Gel-X nail enhancements.

What should I expect at my first nail appointment?

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and guided to our serene Spa Lounge. Kathy will greet you there and escort you to our private nail room, where you can discuss color choices, nail styles, custom designs, and any additional hand, arm, or leg and foot treatments. Every appointment is tailored to your preferences, ensuring a luxurious and personalized experience from start to finish.

Can I purchase skincare products online?

We offer all MBR Cosmetics products on our online storefront! Additionally, digital and physical certificates for all spa services can be found here. If you are interested in our other skincare lines, like Biologique Recherche, please call or text us and we can ship them to you!

I have been trying to find Liquid Surgery Serum and Lotion P50 1970, are they available?

As of 2025, California regulations have banned a key ingredient previously used in MBR’s Liquid Surgery Serum, and Biologique Recherche has officially discontinued its 1970 product family. We understand these formulations are beloved by many. Rest assured, Esthetician Aislinn expertly curates advanced, personalized skincare routines using the latest innovations from Biologique Recherche and MBR to deliver exceptional results without compromise.


Do you offer virtual skincare consultations?

Absolutely! Navigating skincare products, ingredients, and routines can feel overwhelming, and a consultation with our esthetician, Aislinn, provides clarity and confidence that your skin is in expert hands. We offer both virtual and in-person consultations. To schedule, please complete this form, and our Spa Concierge, Charles, will reach out to arrange your personalized session.


What is the fee for shipping products?

We offer complimentary shipping on all products! If you wish to upgrade to overnight shipping, there is a $35 additional charge.


What is the return policy?

All sales are final. If you wish to return skincare products, they must be unopened, with the plastic seal intact (if applicable), and returned within 48 hours of purchase. Returned products are eligible for spa credit toward future services or products, rather than a monetary refund.


Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes! Gift certificates are available for purchase in our spa, with both digital and physical options. Certificates may be designated for a specific service or a flat dollar amount. For a truly seamless experience, we recommend including gratuity when selecting a service-based certificate. Explore all available options!

Appointments & Memberships

What is the cancellation policy?

All appointments must be scheduled with a reserving debit or credit card on file. We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will incur a charge of 100% of the service value, applied to the reserving debit or credit card.
